What are you ignoring, and when is that okay?

I am not a Bible person, but there are time where it is so spot-on, it makes me think, “Hey, maybe people read this for a reason.”
I am in a perpetual rush, whether it is moving my kids along or asking my husband to do a chore to meeting my own expectations. That’s all well and good, but that’s not life. I can quickly clean a tub, but I cannot quickly grow myself into maturity after years of drinking to dissociate. I can whip off a column about parenting, but I cannot undo years of self-hatred with a mantra or in just one therapy session.
